Prison officers are holding a novel vigil outside Premier Nathan Rees' office that's sending the government a message on the prison 'cell off' that's too loud to ignore.

Hundreds of NSW prison officers and their supporters welcome the decision by the State Government to abandon plans to privatise Cessnock prison.

On 2 April, thousands march to NSW Parliament to protest against the privatization of prisons in New South Wales. Prison Officers are joined by nurses, teachers, police and supporters from across the community in a mass rally. The campaign continues!
